Price Outlook

+2.3%official forecast for consumer prices this year in UAE

Source: Central Bank of the UAE, Quarterly Economic Review (June 2026) · 2026 · read 7 August 2026

At this pace, an item you put off for a year costs roughly 2.3% more, which is why a marked sale month beats waiting for prices to fall.

This is the official price index for the whole market. Individual products move faster or slower than the index, and a sale beats the index either way.

How to get the most out of Clarks

Reviewed by Savooh's editors · Last verified 16 days ago

Clarks is the British shoemaker founded in Street, Somerset, in 1825, best known for the Desert Boot. In the Gulf, Jashanmal runs the UAE online store and Apparel Group runs Clarks in Saudi Arabia, so codes and return rules differ by country.

Two different operators run Clarks in the Gulf

Jashanmal runs clarksstores.ae in the UAE, and Apparel Group runs Clarks in Saudi Arabia, including clarks.sa. Codes and return rules from one site don't carry over to the other.

Returns are collected free in both countries

Both stores send a courier to collect returns within 14 days at no charge. In the UAE you request it through the contact form with photos and the invoice; in Saudi Arabia you email customer care.

The Desert Boot is the benchmark

Nathan Clark's Desert Boot from 1950 is still in the range, and its price is a fair yardstick for judging a markdown on other Clarks styles.

About Clarks : the full picture

Cyrus Clark started the business in Street, Somerset, in 1825, making rugs from sheepskin, and his brother James soon turned the offcuts into slippers. The company is still based in Street. Nathan Clark designed the Desert Boot in 1950, and it remains the shoe most people associate with the brand. In 2021 the Hong Kong investment firm LionRock Capital bought a majority stake.

In the UAE, Clarks is run by Jashanmal, whose Jashanmal National Co. operates clarksstores.ae. In Saudi Arabia, Apparel Group signed a deal in June 2023 to open more than 20 Clarks stores over five years, and it also runs the Saudi online store, clarks.sa. The two stores have different codes, delivery terms and return processes.

Shopping Tips

Before you buy at Clarks.

What our editors do before they buy from this store.

Use SAN20 before CS510

SAN20 takes 20% off and CS510 takes 10%, both for every customer. Try SAN20 first, and keep CS510 as the fallback if SAN20 stops working.

Check the sale section too

More than half of the products listed on clarksstores.ae were marked down when we checked in October 2026. Check whether the code still applies on top of a sale price before you pay.

Returns are collected free

Clarks' approved courier collects returns at no charge, usually within 3 working days. If you send an item back another way, you pay and carry the risk of loss.

Send photos and the invoice first

Request a return through the contact form with photos of the item from all angles and your invoice. Items must be unused, in the original box, with all tags.

Online orders go back online

Clarks UAE's return policy says online orders can't be exchanged or refunded in store. To change a size or colour, return the item online and place a new order.

Alert the sale seasons

Dubai Shopping Festival in January and White Friday in November are the UAE's main sale seasons. A Savooh alert tells you when a new Clarks code is listed here.
