Editorial policy
The rules the coupons, guides and buying advice are written under.
Last updated:
Savooh publishes three kinds of thing: coupon codes, which are either true or false at any given moment; written guides, which are opinions with reasons attached; and price estimates like the Price-Drop Calendar, which are editorial judgment, not a computed forecast. All three can be corrupted by money, and this page is where we commit in public to how we keep them from being.
What commission can't buy
We earn a cut when you buy through some of our links. That relationship decides nothing else. It doesn't get a code listed, doesn't get one marked verified, doesn't move a store up a page, and doesn't keep a bad review off the site. A retailer that pays us zero appears on exactly the same terms as one paying our best rate. If we ever can't hold that line for a particular store, we'll say so on the page rather than quietly bury it.
Content standards
- Answer the question or don't publish
A store guide has to be worth reading by someone who never uses a coupon. If a page exists only to wrap text around a code box, it shouldn't exist.
- Written twice, not translated once
Arabic and English are both written for their reader, with each market's own stores, prices and sale seasons. Running one language through a translator and shipping it is how you end up with Gulf pricing in an Egyptian guide.
- Dated where it matters
Coupons carry the date of their last test. Guides carry an update date and get revised when the stores, prices or offers behind them move.
Mistakes and corrections
We will get things wrong. When it's a factual error in a guide, we fix it and note that it was corrected rather than editing the page silently. When it's a coupon that no longer works, it comes down. Either way the fastest route is to email us: we'd rather hear it from you than leave it up for another month.
Authorship and accountability
Every article carries a byline: a named author with a profile page, or the Savooh editorial team where the piece was a joint effort. Coupons are checked by the same people who write the guides, not outsourced. Nothing on this site is published by an anonymous account.
On AI-written content
We use AI tools the way most publishers now do: drafting, translation passes, cleaning up structure. Nothing goes live without a person reading it, checking the claims and taking responsibility for it under a byline. No page here is generated and published unread, and we don't publish AI-written articles at volume to farm search traffic.
