Source: Central Bank of the UAE, Quarterly Economic Review (June 2026) · 2026 · read 7 August 2026

At this pace, an item you put off for a year costs roughly 2.3% more, which is why a marked sale month beats waiting for prices to fall.

This is the official price index for the whole market. Individual products move faster or slower than the index, and a sale beats the index either way.

About Sedar : the full picture

Sedar describes itself as a window and wall décor company established in 1892. Its range covers curtains and drapes, blinds and shades, wallpaper, folding doors, outdoor shades, upholstery fabrics and smart home motorisation, sold through showrooms and a shop-at-home consultation service. Its store finder lists the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Iraq and Yemen, and its project work includes 4,800 motorised roller blinds at DEWA's Al Shera'a headquarters in Dubai.

Each country has its own site and prices. On 20 October 2026 the UAE offers page took 35% off selected blinds and the KSA page 15%, so Sunscreen Roller Blinds started at AED 253 and SAR 415. The Kuwait site showed KWD prices from KWD 31 but had no cart or checkout, and the Egypt site showed no prices at all, only a Contact Us button. Both the UAE and KSA banners advertised free delivery and installation on curtains and blinds, while the FAQ says online orders do not include a measuring and fitting service.

Every piece is made to measure, so returns are limited to defects reported within 7 days of delivery, with free pickup in the GCC. Approved replacements take 3 to 5 days in the UAE and 15 to 21 days in Saudi Arabia, card refunds take 7 to 15 working days, and products carry a one-year warranty from shipment. The website accepts Visa and Mastercard only.
