What 20% saves on current fares
On 9 October 2026 Etihad's offers page listed return fares from Abu Dhabi, including taxes, for bookings made by 31 October and travel until April 2027.

Those are the most you'd save. When Etihad ran up to 20% off Economy and Business in July 2026, the discount applied to the base fare only, not taxes and surcharges. If TAKEOFF20 works the same way, the saving on a ticket will be less than 20% of the total.
Business class gets the bigger saving
The same percentage takes more off a higher fare, so the code is worth most on Business. Compare the discounted Business fare with Economy plus any extras you'd buy, such as seat selection or extra baggage, before you decide.
