Price Outlook

+1.8%the pace consumer prices are rising in Saudi Arabia

Source: General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) · June 2026 · read August 7, 2026

At this pace, an item you put off for a year costs roughly 1.8% more, which is why a marked sale month beats waiting for prices to fall.

This is the official price index for the whole market. Individual products move faster or slower than the index, and a sale beats the index either way.

Best time to buy

White Friday in late November and Dubai Shopping Festival in January carry the deepest markdowns across the catalogue, with Ramadan and the August back-to-school run opening smaller windows in between. Furniture and big-ticket nursery pieces are the categories most worth timing to one of these dates, since day-to-day pricing on cots and travel systems moves far less than on smaller accessories. Between those dates, code ADM17 takes 15% off full-price items.

Buyer Guide

How to get the most out of Mamas & Papas

Reviewed by Savooh's editors · Last verified 11 days ago

Mamas & Papas started in Huddersfield, England, in 1981 selling nursery furniture and pushchairs. In the Gulf it is run by Al Tayer Insignia, the Al Tayer Group division that also runs Bloomingdale's and Harvey Nichols in Dubai.

1
Furniture has its own, higher free-shipping bar
Standard orders ship free above AED 300, but cots, wardrobes and other furniture only ship free above AED 2,000. Below that, furniture delivery costs AED 200, so a single cot ordered on its own carries a charge a stroller order would not.
2
Sale items are final, full-price items have 30 days
Unused items in their original packaging can go back within 30 days of delivery in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and 45 days in Kuwait. Sale items, toiletries and outlet purchases can't be returned, which is worth knowing before using ADM17's 10% on sale stock.
3
Return small items in store, furniture by collection
In the UAE, returns are free at participating Mamas & Papas stores, while a courier collection costs the original delivery fee. Furniture can't be returned in store, so a cot return always goes through collection.

About Mamas & Papas : the full picture

Mamas & Papas opened in Huddersfield in 1981. Al Tayer Group brought it to the UAE and Kuwait as franchise partner and later opened its first three Saudi stores, including one in Riyadh.

Most products ship free above AED 300. Furniture is different: that threshold rises to AED 2,000, and cash on delivery is only offered above AED 500, with a further AED 50 fee on top.

Code ADM17 takes 15% off full-price items and 10% off sale items in all three markets. Full-price items keep the 30-day return window (45 days in Kuwait), while sale items can't be returned at all, so the code's 10% on sale stock suits pieces you're already sure about.

Shopping Tips

Before you buy at Mamas & Papas.

What our editors do before they buy from this store.

01
Furniture has its own, higher free-shipping bar
Standard orders ship free above SAR 400, but furniture needs SAR 2,000 to ship free. Below that, furniture delivery costs SAR 200, so a single cot bought alone carries a charge a stroller order would not.
02
The 30-day return covers full-price items only
Unused full-price items in original packaging can be returned within 30 days for any reason. Sale items, toiletries, outlet purchases and single pieces from a set can't, and that includes sale items bought with ADM17's 10%.
03
A COD refund comes back as a gift voucher
Card and PayPal refunds go back to the original payment method. A cash-on-delivery order is refunded as a gift voucher for the website.
04
Return small items in store to skip the collection fee
Unless the item was defective or wrong, a courier collection carries a fee. You can also post it to the Jeddah warehouse at your own cost, or return non-furniture items at a Mamas & Papas store in Saudi Arabia.
05
COD starts at SAR 500 and costs SAR 50
Cash on delivery is not available below SAR 500, and above it carries a flat SAR 50 fee. Paying by card avoids the fee, and a card refund also comes back as money.
06
Alert the seasonal furniture drops
Furniture and big-ticket nursery items drop around Ramadan, National Day and White Friday. An alert tells you when the next sale starts, and ADM17 takes 15% off full-price items in between.

How to use a code

Redeeming a code at Mamas & Papas.

Where the promo field is in this checkout, and what voids a code here.

  1. 1
    Check which free-delivery bar applies
Furniture ships free only above SAR 2,000, and everything else above SAR 400. The code takes its discount off the products, so check which bar your basket is aiming for first.
  2. 2
Pay by card where you can
Card payment avoids the SAR 50 cash-on-delivery fee, and a card refund comes back as money where a COD refund comes back as a voucher.
  3. 3
Enter ADM17 and read the discount line
Enter ADM17 at checkout once the basket is final. The discount line should show 15% off full-price items and 10% off sale items. Only one promo code works per order.
  4. 4
Decide on sale items before you pay
Sale items can't be returned, so the 10% ADM17 gives on them comes with no way back. On anything you might return, such as a car seat that may not fit your car, buy at full price and keep the 30-day window.
