How long do you have to return to Sharaf DG?
In the UAE you have 7 days from collection or home delivery. In Saudi Arabia you have 14 days for online orders and 7 days for in-store purchases. In Egypt you have 14 days from receipt. In all three, the product has to come back unused, in its original packaging, with the invoice, and an opened box costs you money or is refused.
Each country runs its own site and its own policy. We read all three on 11 October 2026: UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

UAE: 7 days, and the box matters
An unopened item with all accessories, manuals, warranty cards, seals, free gifts and promotional vouchers can come back within 7 days with the original invoice, to any Sharaf DG store in the UAE. An opened item that is not faulty carries a restocking fee of at least 15%, or at least 25% for Apple products. IT and telecom devices you have activated cannot be returned.
Accessories and personal care items come back only if sealed, or if a manufacturing defect shows when you open them. The policy also excludes damaged or scratched products, cut cables, apparel, redeemed activation codes, devices with Find My iPhone or a similar lock switched on, and invoices where VAT has been refunded.
Three more rules catch people out:
- Check before you sign. Damage reported after you sign the proof of delivery is not covered for returns or warranty.
- Marketplace sellers. Items sold by other sellers on the site cannot be returned at a Sharaf DG store. You go through the helpline, email or WhatsApp, and the item has to be sealed.
- Dead on arrival. Sharaf DG staff or the brand's service centre verify the fault first, which can take up to seven business days.
One line on the UAE page states that unopened online purchases are not eligible for returns or refunds, which conflicts with the rest of the page. If you plan to return an online order, ask support on 600-502034 to confirm in writing first.
Saudi Arabia: 14 days online, with fees on bulky items
The Saudi site gives online orders twice the window of a store purchase. The box has to stay sealed for a full refund. An opened but unused item can be returned or exchanged with a restocking fee of at least 30%. Opened personal care items cannot come back at all, and activated IT and telecom devices are excluded.
- Large appliances, large TVs and audio-video: a SAR 100 handling charge applies to home-delivery returns or exchanges, unless there is a manufacturing defect.
- Free delivery is not free on a return. If the order shipped free and you return it without a defect, you pay the delivery and return delivery fees.
- Photos first. For a home pickup, Sharaf DG asks for clear photos of the product from every angle.
- Bundles come back whole. Missing items from a bundle are deducted from the refund.
- Late orders. If an order has not arrived within 30 days of purchase, it is cancelled and refunded.
Gift card, loyalty point and voucher purchases are refunded as a Sharaf DG gift card. In-store purchases paid with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Google Pay are refunded only within the return period, after Sharaf DG sees your bank confirmation.
Egypt: 14 days, and discounted items are final
Unused items in their original condition, with all accessories and any free gifts, can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of receipt, with the invoice. The page's introduction also mentions 15 days, so count on 14. A manufacturing fault gets 30 days from purchase, with a technical report from the brand's authorised agent.
Discounted and non-returnable items cannot come back. Return shipping is free only when the product is faulty or Sharaf DG made an error. You can cancel within 7 days if the order has not shipped. Cash and bank transfer refunds take 2 to 7 working days after inspection, and card or instalment refunds follow your bank or provider.
The warranty in Egypt runs for one year from the invoice date, through the brand's authorised agent or distributor. It does not cover accessories, batteries, consumables, software faults or accidental damage. Keep the invoice and the warranty card, and collect any item left for service within two months of the delivery date.
Before you open the box
The restocking fee is where returns get expensive. On a AED 3,000 phone in the UAE, a 15% fee is AED 450. On a SAR 3,000 laptop in Saudi Arabia, a 30% fee is SAR 900. If you are still choosing between two models, compare them before delivery: the product check shows what other retailers charge for the same model.
