Every flynas fare includes one 7 kg cabin bag. Checked baggage depends on the fare: Light has none on most routes, Value includes 20 kg, Plus 30 kg and Premium two bags of 23 kg on domestic flights. Changing a Light ticket costs SAR 250 domestically and SAR 350 internationally, and Light and Value tickets cannot be cancelled. These figures come from flynas.com, checked on 11 October 2026.

Cabin baggage on every fare

flynas's cabin baggage page allows each guest one piece of up to 7 kg, with maximum dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23 cm. Extra pieces are charged. A bag over the size or weight must be checked in, and excess baggage fees apply if that takes you over your allowance. Infants are not entitled to a cabin bag. Liquids follow the usual 100 ml rule in a resealable bag of up to 500 ml.

Checked baggage by fare type and route

The fare types page splits routes into domestic and international groups:

RouteLightValuePlusPremium
Domestic (within Saudi Arabia)Fees apply1 x 20 kg1 x 30 kg2 x 23 kg
International Group 1 (includes Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha)Fees apply1 x 20 kg1 x 30 kg2 x 23 kg
International Group 2 (Cairo, Algiers, Constantine)1 x 15 kg1 x 30 kg2 x 20 kg2 x 23 kg
International Group 3 (includes Mumbai, Karachi, Nairobi, Sohag)Fees apply1 x 30 kg2 x 20 kgNo Premium listed

Cairo is the route where Light includes a checked bag. One detail to check: the fare types page also lists "Cairo (Sphinx)" in Group 1, and the baggage page groups some cities differently from the fare types page. Your booking summary shows the allowance that applies to your ticket.

The checked baggage page adds three limits: no single bag over 32 kg, maximum dimensions of 75 x 50 x 33 cm, and 10 kg of hold baggage for infants. Codeshare and interline flights with partner airlines follow different allowances.

What extra weight costs

Buying weight before the flight is cheaper than paying at the counter. For domestic flights the baggage page lists:

DomesticPrice
Prepaid 15 kg bagSAR 69
Prepaid 20 kg bagSAR 115
Prepaid 25 kg bagSAR 159
20 kg bag paid at the airportSAR 240
Each kg over the permitted maximum, at the airportSAR 40

The same table shows two more rows of higher prices (up to SAR 300 and SAR 540 for 20 kg at the airport), but the page does not label which routes they apply to, so we have left them out. Check the price for your route in Manage Booking. flynas says prices can change by season, and on domestic flights 15% VAT applies to prepaid and airport baggage, according to its FAQ page.

You can add a bag by entering your booking reference and last name on the baggage page, or through Manage Booking.

The rules behind the numbers, from the fare types page:

  • Changes and cancellations are allowed up to four hours before departure.
  • Fees are per passenger, per flight. A change also costs any fare difference.
  • After a cancellation, the balance goes to your Nas Wallet, not your card. It can be used for future flights by the same passenger, only through flynas's direct channels, and is valid for one year from issue.
  • Flex add-ons change the rules: Light Flex allows changes for SAR 100, and the Super Flex options lower or remove the change and cancellation fees.

To change or cancel, open Manage Booking on flynas.com with your booking reference. The FAQ also lists the contact centre on 9200 01234. For codeshare flights, flynas asks you to call 920001234 from Saudi Arabia or +966 11 434 9000 from abroad.

Which fare suits which trip

  • Weekend trip with a cabin bag, fixed dates: Light, as long as your bag fits 56 x 36 x 23 cm and 7 kg.
  • One suitcase, fixed dates: compare Light plus a prepaid bag against Value. Our guide to the cheapest flynas fare works through the numbers.
  • Dates that might move: Plus, since changes are free and it can be cancelled for a fee.
  • Family travel with heavy bags: Premium's 2 x 23 kg, or Plus's 30 kg, against prepaid bags for each traveller.
