Can you return contact lenses to Eyewa?
Only if the box is unopened and still in its original sealed packaging. Eyewa accepts returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery, but opened contact lenses, prescription lenses made for your glasses, add-on accessories such as solutions and cases, and final-sale items cannot come back unless they are faulty. The rules below come from Eyewa's return policy, checked 11 October 2026.
Eyewa started in Dubai in 2017 and sells glasses, sunglasses, prescription and colour contact lenses online and in more than 260 stores in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. Its contact lens range includes FreshLook, Dailies, Bella and its own Layala brand.

Contact lenses: buy the quantity you are sure of
Because opened lenses cannot be returned, the safest order is the one you know works for you. If you are trying a new brand, a new colour or a new prescription, start with the smallest box Eyewa sells for that lens, and open one pair before you open the rest. Sealed boxes left over within 30 days can still go back.
Colour lenses are where the store discounts most often. On 9 October 2026 the Saudi site had Layala colour lenses at 119 SAR, down from 149 SAR, and The Optical Club collection on the UAE site had colour lenses at 20% off. A lower price makes a bigger box tempting, so keep the return rule in mind: anything you open is yours.
Solutions and lens cases are add-on accessories and cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, even sealed. Buy them in the quantity you will use.
If you live in Kuwait, order early: delivery there takes 7 to 9 business days, compared with 1 to 2 in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Order a new box at least two weeks before your current lenses run out.
Prescription glasses: check the prescription first
Prescription lenses are made to order. Eyewa's policy says they are not eligible for a refund or exchange, with two exceptions:
- If Eyewa made an error in the prescription or the fitting, you get a full refund.
- If your own prescription is correct and fits the frame, a partial refund may apply.
On a change-of-mind refund for glasses, Eyewa deducts the value of the prescription lenses. In practice, the frame can come back and the lenses cost you. Eyewa offers free eye tests that you can book online, and stores adjust frames for free, so get the prescription checked before you order.
Two lens types carry their own guarantees. Progressive lenses have a 30-day adaptation guarantee, with a free replacement pair or two single-vision pairs if you cannot adapt. MiYOEYE lenses have a 6-month guarantee: if the prescription worsens by 0.75 dioptre or more, you get a free replacement or free clear single-vision lenses.
How to send something back
In a store
Take the item with all its accessories to an Eyewa store. The staff inspect it and can adjust glasses on the spot. An exchange is the option Eyewa recommends.
Online
Log in, open My Orders, choose the item, tap Return Item and pick a reason. A delivery partner collects it, Eyewa inspects it, and you get an email accepting or rejecting the return.
Exchanges
You can swap for the same value, a different colour or frame, or pay the difference for a more expensive item.
How long the refund takes
Once a return is accepted, Eyewa processes the refund in about 2 days. After that, timing depends on how you paid:
- Eyewa wallet: credited at once, usable online or in store.
- Credit or debit card: 5 to 7 business days.
- Tabby or Tamara: 2 to 3 business days.
- Cash in store on the same day as the purchase: handed back at once.
- Cash in store on a later day: in the UAE, wallet credit at once or a bank transfer in 5 to 7 business days; in Saudi Arabia, wallet credit at once or cash.
What the warranty covers
Frames and lenses from the brands the policy names, 30Sundays, Spectus, Blackout, Babamio and Clarivo, carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. It does not cover scratches from handling, breakage from accidents or normal wear. Free tune-ups are offered for normal wear. eyewa pro members also get what Eyewa calls a no-questions-asked 1-year free replacement.
