Can you use UPI from the UAE or Saudi Arabia?
Possibly. In January 2023, NPCI (the body that runs UPI) told banks to let NRE and NRO account holders use UPI with an overseas mobile number from 10 countries, including the UAE (+971) and Saudi Arabia (+966). If your Indian bank has enabled this, you can pay a UPI booking without an Indian SIM. Without an NRE or NRO account, this code won't help you.
What it saves per booking
The discount is per passenger, which makes it strongest for families. These are the maximums:

For a solo international trip, FLYAI goes up to INR 3,000 and needs no UPI. From two passengers on an international route, UPIPROMO's ceiling is higher. Air India allows only one offer per booking, so check both.
